Heat-shrinkable products are highly useful achievement the technical thought. Simplifying and accelerating the performance of connections, repairs and coatings in the electric machinery industry, power industry and telecommunication had caused that heat-shrinkable products have become sought-after and sometimes irreplaceable articles. None of the alternatives do not meet the high demands and standards to become as useful as heat-shrinkable products.

As a result of crosslinking there is a spatial network of hydrocarbon molecules formed in the material of HDPE. The three-dimensional network, in which all, or almost all, of the original polymer chains are chemically interrelated, receives shape memory. It is one of the most useful features of the heat-shrinkable elements, which can be deformed in any way, and after heating they return back to its original shape. Insulation made in this technology is cross-linked and blown insulation installed in the isolated place. While heating heat-shrinkable insulation tightly clamped around an isolated place, which is the most effective method of creating and rebuilding isolation concerning costs and time of installation and its durability.

HEAT-SHRINKABLE SLEEVES

Heat-shrinkable sleeve is used to create outer pipe coating of the joint of pre-insulated pipe sections. Sleeve with heat insulation – polyurethane foam PUR blown in the free space of joints and with safety plugs protecting foam application holes make up the joint of two sections of pre-insulated pipes. Foam application holes are made at the factory.

Crosslinked Termogum sleeve provides the opportunity to create tight, strong and flexible joint of pre-insulated district heating pipes. Specially selected materials, shape memory of crosslinked material, developed optimal shape of sleeve and patented manufacturing process ensures long life of sleeves, safety of joints, joint resistance to stress, corrosion, friction in the ground and the temperature changes associated with changes in transmission factors and external factors. Sleeve is also available in a version of non-crosslinked material.

As you would like to prepare the pipe joint, you need to shrink the sleeve onto the welded ends of conductive pipes. Heating gas burner makes the sleeve shrunk onto the ends of coating pipes and the shrinking force ensures tight sealing, creating a reliable isolation perfectly reproducing the outer coating of pre-insulated pipes. In addition, through the use of hot melt adhesive at the ends of sleeves, the joint is resistant to water penetration, soil movements and all external conditions.

Sleeves do not corrode and provide mechanical protection. They isolate the joint from moisture and they are resistant to UV radiation, aggressive agents, fungi and molds. Application of Termogum joint does not require the usage of ties, collars or tapes on the ends of the sleeves, as the single sleeve provides sealing thanks to technologically designed downforce to coating pipe and shape memory, a very robust material and the appropriate shape of the ends of the sleeves.

HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBES

Heat-shrinkable tube is used to prepare the outer coating for pre-insulated pipe joints. Tube with PUR foam slates make up a set for pre-insulated pipe joint used in situations where it is more comfortable to perform dry joint, without filling the joint with liquid polyurethane foam components. Installation of heat shrinkable tubes is less demanding in ensuring the proper temperature at the time of installation. Tube is also available in versions of crosslinked or non- crosslinked material.

Joint assembly using the tubes means filling the space of joint with slates and putting the tube so that the ends overlap the ends of the outer pipe. Then you shrink the tube on the full length.

Moreover, through the use of hot melt adhesive on the ends of tube, created connection is resistant to water penetration, soil movements and all external conditions.

Production technology of heat-shrinkable tubes developed and patented by Termogum provides a tight joint of pre-insulated district heating pipes. HEAT-SHRINKABLE CAPS

As a result of its own research TERMOGUM has developed and patented a new technology for the production of heat-shrink caps, which improves their technical parameters. Changes carried out in the production and development of new materials, such as hot melt glues, applied in caps offered by TERMOGUM Sp. z o. o., make them shrink faster and at lower temperature, which contributes to saving time and energy (gas propane / butane) in the process of caps shrinking.

Heat shrinkable caps made of radiant crosslinked polyethylene are used to insulate and protect the ends of power and telecommunication cables with coatings made of metal and plastic.

Inside heat-shrinkable cable end caps can be covered by hot melt glue which stays stretchy in 20°C to +70°C temperature. After heating by flame or warm air to the temperature of 120°C to 200°C cap shrinks and melting glue fills every hallow and cover every irregularity. It creates tight protection resistant to the damp and it has good mechanical and electric features.
Heat-shrinkable cable end caps are resistant to corrosion, stress, acid and base operation and atmospheric effects. Installation of a heat shrinkable cable end caps is very simple and fast.

HEAT-SHRINKABLE TAPES

Heat-shrinkable tapes are manufactured based on radiation modified polyolefin. These products are widely used in electrical engineering, power industry, electronics, telecommunication, district heating, mining, industry, civil engineering, aviation, shipbuilding industry, railway engineering, motorization as well.

Type T
Heat-shrinkable electroinsulating tape is especially applied to bundling wires and electric cables, insulating links and removing damages to insulation of cables and wires, rust-proofing construction exposed to rubbing, mechanical damages and stress and corrosion.

Type TKT
Heat-shrinkable electroinsulating tape with hot melt glue creates durable and tight joint of elements of a construction. Hot melt glue lue is strongly sticky to metal, timber, plastic elements and sanitary ware. Heat-shrinkable electroinsulating tape with hot melt glue is used to an installation of joints of ventilation pipes, protective pipes, wires, electric and telecommunication cables. Finished joints are resistant to mechanical stress, damages and corrosion.

Type TKTK
Heat-shrinkable electroinsulating tape with hot melt glue and butyl substance is used mainly to protects joints of pre-insulated pipes.

FEATURES OF A TAPE
